The concept for The Little Waffle Shop came into fruition while working for The Library Bar upstairs. The owner of The Library Bar came to Pablo Creative looking for ways to increase revenue within the bar. After doing a site audit and consulting with the team, the decision was made to convert what was currently being used as a coatroom into a roadside shop. After realizing that the most valuable part of the premises, per square meter of rent paid, was currently being used as a coatroom, we gutted the space and then came up with a concept using market research to discover what the best proposition was. The decision for what was missing in the Courtney place area that would add to the scene of culture for the area, while at the same time provide the most revenue potential turned out to be waffles.
To cater to the prominent female population in the Wellington CBD, the concept that was developed was a cute French waffle house / American diner styled cube, topped with little life like toy animals that get handed out while people wait for their waffles to be cooked. /p>
