The original iconic local bar in Mount Maunganui, Astrolabe was a 15 year-old bar that unfortunately, due to not reinventing itself, went bankrupt. When the new owner took over 3 years ago, he decided to turn it into a Mac’s Brew Bar as he had a good working relationship with Lion Brewery. It was decided to keep the name Astrolabe as the name had that local connection with a landmark in the area. When Pablo Creative came on board, the overall concept that was chosen was a Kiwi holiday batch theme with a strong link to the Mac’s Brew Bar fit outs./p>
Pablo Creative has worked closely with the owner and key staff members over the past 3 years to conceptualize and develop what Astrolabe has grown into today. What started out as painting the original Mac’s themed murals soon turned into creative direction across many fields. Big changes like the astro-turf, the caravan and Betty’s bars has helped establish a trusted relationship with the client which in turn opened up the creative freedom that has allowed Pablo Creative to continue developing innovative solutions within the business. The environment that has been created is too unique to explain in words, you will have to pop down and experience it yourself.
